■Y/N POV■

I've just finished my job and already submit it. I pick up my stuff and put it in my bag. Then I get up from my chair and turn around only to bump into someone.

Y/N: oh I'm so... sorry Hiraga san

Yuusuke: no it's okay, seems like you're in a hurry, whe-

Just then Kimi came, along with Yumi and Mio. They pull me to walk out with them. Hiraga, and some of my other colleagues follow behind us. We're walking towards the exit.

Mio: Y/N, I saw you yesterday. You're picked up by the handsome guy from the pub.

Yumi: hey what is your relationship with him? He ran after you right when you left the pub the other day

Yuusuke: guys, don't interrogate her like that

Kimi: Hiraga is no fun, come on Y/N spill it...

I gulp down

Y/N: he's an Argentina's volleyball player, Oikawa Tooru... he's my... childhood friend.

Kazuki: what? Do you mean that Oikawa Tooru from Aoba Johsai years ago?

Mio: you know him too?

Kazuki: nah, I was also on a volleyball team when I was in high school, and that Oikawa guy is one of the best players of my time.

I smile at Kazuki and agreed with him. Oikawa is an amazing and hardworking player.

When we walk out of the office building, I can feel droplets of water on me. It's raining a little, just then, Miyu taps my shoulder a couple of times, pointing at somewhere. There I see Tooru and he also looks back at me and smiles.

Tooru walks closer to us and bows to my friends.

Kim: Y/N... please introduce him to me

Mio and Yumi are saying the same thing. Back then, many of my girlfriends always ask me to introduce them to Tooru too. And to be honest it's actually painful. But I'm a nobody, Tooru is not mine. I can't prevent him from meeting new people.

Y/N: uh everyone this is my friend Oikawa Tooru...

I introduced them to Tooru and Tooru introduce himself to the other. I can feel that Tooru and Kazuki are getting along pretty well, but somehow it's not the same with Hiraga. Just then Mio, Kimi, and Yumi come closer to Tooru, they surround him, just like how his fangirl used to do. It kind of making me, uneasy.

Kimi: Oikawa san, what do you like?

Mio: do you have a girlfriend?

That question, back then Tooru got that a lot too. I feel my chest becomes stuffy, just then I can feel a hand on my shoulder, I look up to see Hiraga.

Yuusuke: L/N san, You okay? You're quiet for a moment...

Y/N: uh... yes

■Oikawa's POV■

When Y/N's female friends and this Kazuki guy are surrounding me, I can see that Hiraga guy is placing his hand on Y/N's shoulder. I clench my hand.

Yumi: what are you doing here?

I took a deep breath and start answering those questions while walking to where Y/N is.

Oikawa: I like sweet things

I walk past those girls, Y/N looks at me as I walk closer to her.

Oikawa: I used to have a sweet girlfriend... but I messed up

Y/N eyes are widened. I kept walking closer to her and held my hand out.

Oikawa: as for why I'm here... I'm here to pick up some sweet... come one Y/N

Y/N was startled when I reach out to her. I too don't realize this right away, but I hate how that guy is so close to her. I'm ready if Y/N is not going to take my hand, but she takes it.

Y/N: Tooru your hand, it's cold... did you wait long? I'm sorry...

She's now covering my hand with hers. I grab her hand tighter and give her a smile.

Oikawa: I don't mind waiting for you... well, let's go before the rain turn worse.

I glance at Hiraga, I really don't like him that much. He too is looking back at me.

Y/N: uh well, everyone I'll leave now... I'll see you on Monday!

Kimi: Y/N you're going with him? Where are you guys going?

Mio: How lucky to have such a handsome friend

Yumi: hey can we hang with him too??

I can see Y/N flinched at the question. She looks flustered and her face all red. She looks, cute.

Y/N: uh ah... we... n-

I snake my arm on Y/N's shoulder and lean my head to hers.

Oikawa: we are going on a date, so I'm sorry you couldn't tag along.

■3rd Person POV■

Y/N was stunned when Oikawa said that they're going on a date. Well back then, even when before they're in a relationship, Oikawa used to say that to avoid his fangirls. Did he, also avoid them just now. Y/N could feel her face heating up buy her heart is beating so fast.

Oikawa: Well, we'll take our leave then, goodbye. 

With that, Oikawa takes Y/N to walk with him to the car, walking next to each other under the same umbrella. They reach the car and Oikawa opens the passenger seat door for Y/N before he goes to the driver's seat. Then Oikawa drives them to Y/N's house. 

When they're in Y/N's house, Oikawa realized that Y/N walks a little bit wobbly. He looks down and sees there's a scratch on the back of her feet, and it's kind of red too. Oikawa grabs Y/N's hand and makes her sit on the couch.

Y/N: what is it Tooru? 

Oikawa: your feet, they're wounded

Y/N looks at her feet and sees the skin peeled on the back of her feet. She did walk a lot today, and her shoes don't make it easier.

Y/N: uh it's alright Tooru, it's just that I walk a lot today at work.

Oikawa:  well then let's just stay in here for today, where's the aid kit? 

Y/N was about to get up from the couch to take the kid, but Oikawa held her down. He told her that he's going to treat the wound. He said that today they're just going to stay inside.

Y/N: no Tooru, you... you might want to go out and stroll around rather than staying inside, it's alright it's not that hurt.

Oikawa: It's raining outside anyway

Oikawa had already started to clean the wound and treats it.

Oikawa: after all, I don't really mind where I am as long as I'm with you...

Y/N was taken aback and stiffen a little, Oikawa then realized what he just has said but he's not going to take it back. He decided to be a little bolder. Seeing a guy getting so close to her earlier made him slightly annoyed. Just two days ago he agreed to be her friend again, but Oikawa knew, if he's only going to be her friend, then other guys will take her away, and he's not up for that.

Oikawa: Y/N do you remember back then when we're in high school?... back when before we go out.

Y/N looks down at Oikawa who still handles her feet with care and gentleness. it actually makes her a little bit flustered. Her heart is beating like crazy right now.

Y/N: what is it... Tooru?

Oikawa: back when we're just friends, I keep on pestering you to go out with me...

Y/N breath hitch as Tooru averts his gaze to hers. Their eyes met, Oikawa stares deep into her eyes.

Oikawa: this time too, just like before.... I'm going to pester you again... I don't care if Iwa chan scolds me.... I'm going to do it...

Y/N: Tooru....

Oikawa stares at Y/N eyes

Oikawa: I only have less than a month... so you better prepare... I'm going to do my best to pursue you, starting from today.... 

Oikawa takes Y/N's hand in his, making Y/N shivers.

Oikawa: Y/N... please be my girlfriend

That night Oikawa's attempt to make Y/N him again started
